Mr. Cohen is a highly experienced “crisis manager” and policy “fixer,” with years of service at the highest political levels globally. Since 2019, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer of AdhereRx, dba/PainScript, Inc., an investment stage “telehealth” technology company seeking to improve patient care plan adherence and medication compliance for substance use disorder (SUD), Pain Management, Bariatric disease and other chronic conditions,) and he has served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital Network since 2007.
He is the founder and former Chair of the US Abuse Deterrent Coalition and previously served as the Executive Vice President, Government and Public Relations with KemPharm, Inc., a biopharmaceutical “Prodrug” company which develops and commercializes technology to create a diverse pipeline of therapeutics that target market opportunities in pain, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and other central nervous system indications. Prior he served as the Senior Vice President for Government Relations and Health Policy with EnteroMedics, an early-stage bariatric medical device company.

Cohen has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Willamette University and earned a Master of Arts/Liberal Studies degree in International Affairs from Georgetown University.
Joe is the consummate Chief Financial Officer, bringing to Pure Focus Health an extensive career with experience working with middle market privately owned companies. His primary skillsets including serving as a strategic partner to CEO, Board of Directors, and ownership groups. He has strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, business risks and opportunities to enhance profitable growth. Prior to his current role, Joe worked with several healthcare and related entities including DAS Health, Encompass Onsite, BioMatrix, Novis Pharmaceuticals, DECOLAV, and Global Tower Partners.
Joe specializes in leading teams thru rapid growth, financial forecasting, and budgeting, raising equity and debt, cash flow forecasting, financial and operational analysis, team building, workflow / process improvements, driving profit improvement initiatives. He is highly effective in developing relationships with banks, auditors, key vendors, business units and senior management. Joe will play a key role in developing our cross functional teams to streamline processes and drive margin improvements.
Tamas is an entrepreneur with an extensive track record of acquiring, managing, and developing early-stage companies in entities that offer the potential for strategic exits. For the past 15 years, Tamas has acquired and developed eight different Restoration 1 franchises in South Florida and expanding into South Carolina. He is the recipient of several industry awards, including the national “Multi-Unit Owner of the Year” recognition for his work with Restoration 1.
Tamas is a driven, dedicated business owner and investor, on a constant mission to both improve lives and enhance “the bottom line” through strategic investment into people, property, technology, and process. Tamas manages an operating a portfolio of 10 businesses in the Southeastern U.S. and has established Pure Focus Health as a strategic roll-up fund focused on bettering the lives of those in need of high-quality assisted living facilities (ALF). As a proud immigrant from Hungary to the United States of America, he has built a successful business portfolio from the ground up, based on hard work, quality leadership teams and creating value for the community.
Steven Hochhauser has been involved in healthcare his entire 50-year career. He is uniquely qualified as a non-executive Board member to provide a creative contribution by providing independent oversight and constructive challenges to the executive directors based on his experience in post-acute home health, long term care, staffing and recruiting of professional caregivers.
Steve’s current role is with Concierge Care LLC as Vice President of Business Development for South Florida and Administrator of its Health Care Services Pool. With more than 100 staffing contracts with Assisted Living Facilities throughout the State of Florida Steve can provide insight to Pure Health Focus
Directors during its due diligence and operations management of ALFs mission.
Steve previously was the Chief Operating Officer for Caregiver Services Inc for 21 years. This Nurse registry company evolved as a roll up, funded by a private venture capitalist company to become the largest Nurses Registry in the country.
Steve’s background as an entrepreneur owning and managing a Nursing Home, founding a therapy rehab company, and starting many healthcare businesses from scratch should allow him to provide a unique perspective to Pure Health Focus as it evolves and grows within the health care industry.
With a focus on 100% buyout, Pure Health Focus LLC, is targeting under invested facilities with a goal to provide improved living conditions through property enchancement, technology and streamlined processes. While any facility will be reviewed for inclusion in the Pure Health Focus portfolio, an ideal candidate for acquisition is a mid-market facility (45-120 beds), has a history of sustained patient contracts and support infrastructure within the community that ensures patient health and augments physical wellbeing.
